The Daily Tragedy

Page history last edited by Alex Backer, Ph.D. 4 years, 1 month ago

What a daily tragedy to endure the Sun abandon us.

Its gentle warmth gone, plunging us in the cold of night.

Its light shut down, submerging us in darkness.

The bird songs silenced, engulfing us in the still of mirk.

How fast we turn around it, how fast its brightness fades.

No wonder ancients deified it, Incas and Pharaohs alike.

This daily gloom would kill us, were it not for its cure.

The daily miracle of the Sun's glowing morning rebirth.
