Bill Gates said at Davos this week that the Internet will revolutionize TV in 5 years. Which reminded me of a post I meant to write last summer during the World Cup and never did: The 2006 Germany World Cup will be the last World Cup in which the overwhelming majority of people watch the games by TV. By the time of the 2010 South Africa Cup, a significant fraction of the world will watch the games on the Internet, not on TV. By 2014, the overwhelming majority of people will watch the games on the Internet.
The Internet will revolutionize TV by the next World Cup
