Milton Friedman died yesterday. He was a champion of the power of free markets. My homage, Using Free Markets To Provide Public Goods, proposes extending Friedman's free markets and freedom of choice to the way government budgets are spent for the provisioning of public goods. In true Friedman spirit, the late Economics Nobel Memorial Prize winner will not be confined to a tomb in death --his ashes will be spread over the San Francisco Bay. Free to roam the seas.
