I visited the ruins of the ancient pre-Roman Iberian village of La Serreta in the mountains above Alcoy, between Alicante and Valencia, Spain. It's remarkable that these people set their villages on the cusps of mountains rather than close to rivers --how did they get their drinking water? In this context, it is noteworthy that a short stretch of a canal is visible in the ruins --here are some photos:


I was surprised to find no mention of the canal in the Archeological Museum of Alcoy.
