A Woman Named Love
A woman named Love
Took me to a cove
And as the Sun set
Frisky we did get.
Twas Shadow’s first day
In that gorgeous bay
But wasn’t his last
Forgetting his past.
This woman has touch
This woman’s a catch
She’s caring and smart
In a class apart.
She’s Mrs. Support
Of the strongest sort
Spiritual, and fun
And out for a run.
She’s thoughtful
She’s peaceful
She’s kind and serene
She’s nice to be seen.
Unselfish, no ‘me’
In love with the sea
Soft-spoken, a cook
Her gift is a book.
Her love can crack mirrors
She cuts with no scissors
Beachgoers are jealous
They’re all feeling melous.
Her dog’s name is Cooper
Sometimes party pooper
He’s overprotective
He’s way overactive.
We once met a squid
Who wanted a kid
She died for its young
Its mate eight times hung.
So Mel gave her love
Away for the trove
Of finding a mate
One only, not eight.
If you are so lucky
As a rubber ducky
To have her once squeeze you
To find her around you.
Enjoy while it lasts
From first kiss to last
For no one is promised
Bliss won’t once be finished.
